It was here, in close proximity to the Catholic court, that he preached the new reformed faith.Photo: Raetian Museum + Title page of Comander’s «Closing Speeches» in Ilanz of 1526. Comander was one of the main speakers at the religious disputations in Ilanz. For this, he penned 18 theses based on Zwingli’s writings. As a result the municipalities in the Grisons were given a free vote on their choice of confession. This led to the establishment of the reformed faith side by side with Catholicism. Chur joined the Reformation in 1527 (in German).Image: Bavarian state library, München, 4 H.ref. 648, S. 5, urn:nbn:de:bvb:12-bsb10160760-1 +
