A map of the Three Alliances with the foreign territories they controlled with brief interruptions between 1512 and 1797. These were the Veltlin, Chiavenna, and Bormio, which meant that the Alliances controlled the Alpine passes both in the North and in the South (in German).Map: Raetian Museum
