A total of 11 carved smooth rock plates with several hundred symbols were brought to light. They are amongst the most significant rock carvings in the whole of Switzerland.Photo: Archaeological Office Graubünden

The rock plates show numerous concentric circles and bowl-shaped indentations. Their meaning remains a mystery until this day.Photo: Archaeological Office Graubünden

Other carvings show rays emanating from wheels, possibly symbolizing the sun, which may have had cultic significance. Different attempts at interpretation suggest the images may have had cartographic use.Photo: Archaeological Office Graubünden
