However, the Iron Age Raetian tribes actually only lived on the eastern Alpine fringes of today’s cantonal borders, i.e., the Lower Engadine and the Münstertal (marked here in grey) (in German).Graph: Raetian Museum + The Roman province of Raetia comprised the area of today’s Grisons and extended into Bavaria.
